3. When we question God’s will for us, Martin suggests we look for signs of God’s work already present in our lives and in the lives of others. What is one way in which you see God active today?

  1. I have thought about this question for days trying to think of the right words, but I can't, so will just say... As I've continued on my way in to the Catholic Church, I've had seemingly insurmountable obstacles either disappear, or more often, found a doorway opened up just barely wide enough for me to get through. This journey has been more difficult than I expected, and at the same time easier than I expected, having perhaps learned a little better how to respond to the many surprising and subtle ways in which God offers me help.

  2. As a lapsed Catholic, I returned to the Church more than 10 years ago, only to be plagued with doubts as to whether I was doing the right thing. It was a difficult transition as I was also returning to a different church in an unfamiliar diocese. I just didn't recognize the church anymore. However, I knew without a doubt that God had called me back to fellowship. I just didn't know what that would look like. After much prayer, I finally decided to ask Him the seminal question, "Am I in the right place." Within days, I found a Bible study to join and soon became acquainted with a group of women who I would come to think of as friends. My prayer life has become rich and full, and I have begun to consider several volunteer possibilities. My life has changed for the better, and God's answer to me was, "Yes, you are absolutely in the right place!"
