1. Think about how you respond when learning about your faith. Do you prefer intellectual reasoning or firsthand experiences? Is this true when you learn about other topics?

  1. I prefer intellectual reasoning for any topic. But the firsthand experiences during RCIA have taught me about matters of faith which I could not have learned by reason alone. For example, it is one thing to read and believe that the Church loves me. To experience it during a rite, is learning it on a whole new level.

  2. I like to use both the intellectual reasoning and firsthand experiences in any learning situation. I respond to the intellectual, but when it is coupled with firsthand experience, I internalize the knowledge and make it my own.
