One Book - One Parish "My Life with the Saints"  Chapters 1-3

Here are the first discussion/reflection questions for our reading program.  Please take a few moments to read through them and comment on the questions.  You are also invited to add your comments to those already there.

As a child, which particular saint most interested you? What about that saint interested you?

  1. I went to St. Joan of Arc (Indianapolis) for 1st grade, and I remember thinking being a knight or a solider sounded very interesting. Fighting for a just cause and doing it by a certain code and being a part of a group of people working together to do right. But to be honest at that age, it was the swords and shiny armor that was cool. Although I went to St. Thomas Aquinas the rest of grade school, St. Joan of Arc really stuck with me and I think began my early interest in history and in the military.

  2. When I was a child, the saints were so perfect that even though I enjoyed reading about them, I thought that they must have been born without sin. I only related to them because I thought holy cards were cool, and I had quite a collection. Now that I know more about the saints, they have become a fun part of my life.
